as the input value is known to be small, 50 is plenty. of course a threshold
based check could be used too which might but doesnt have to be faster,
as a integer comparission is replaced by a float comparission also a
compiler can unroll a i<50 loop much easier then a t > T loop

anyway patch with benchmark object file size and precission comparision is
