If I remove libvpx from my system, this configure & make works.

./configure --disable-everything --disable-network --enable-shared
--enable-decoder=theora --enable-decoder=vorbis --enable-demuxer=ogg
--enable-pthreads --enable-memalign-hack --cc=gcc-sjlj
--prefix=./chromium8 --enable-decoder=vp8 --enable-demuxer=matroska

Do you have more information on what the configure problem is?
