Yes, it is Linux. Actually, ALT Linux unstable branch -- Sisyphus.

ld is a part of a package binutils-2.16.91.0.6-alt2, that is analog to RH's 
2.16.91.0.6-4.

by default it is being invocated with --as-needed.
