He's the man singlehandedly responsible for making
Linux^H^H^H^H^HGNU/Linux suck. Well, not quite. It's a long story and
I probably shouldn't go into it all here since it's quite OT, but if
Drepper and the Cygnus (now Redhat) crew hadn't taken over most of the
core GNU software, it would still be lightweight and readable like
back in the 80's when RMS & friends wrote it, rather than the huge
abomination it has become now.
