I really don't care what you use.  You using ffmpeg is of no benefit to me.

I don't understand why so many people assume that everybody has widespread use
of their software as a goal.  With commercial software, that is obviously the
case.  Open source is different, as money is not the primary reason for writing
it.  At least for me, the goal is to have the best possible program for my
needs, whatever they may be.  If my programs happen to be useful for others,
that's good for them, but I will not make compromises with the sole purpose
of gaining a larger user base.
