wmv9/3 is an implementation of vc-1

wmv9 simple, main and advanced profile are 100% compatible to the vc-1
standard

there used to be a wmv9 advanced profile codec before vc-1 has been
finalized which is incompatible to vc-1 (simple and main profile were always
was compatible). m$ itself has abandoned this incompatible advanced profile
encoder so its basically dead
