well the patch author said "It's not ready to commit" ...
and i wont commit it as long as there is asm code in libavcodec/
it belongs to libavcodec/i386/
somehow this reminds me of my optimization patches to liba52 which walken
never applied, its similar here, either do what the maintainer wants or
accept that the patches arent applied (or fork of coarse...)
