-cmp 1 is getting passed through to --chrome_me=1 for x264 from
 a parameter standpoint, I'm not in a position to judge, but if it's a bug
it's a useful one.

ipod: Ah but it apparently does; it's baseline + "1" and only "1" bframe. 
Or so the rumor goes. As soon as the wife gets back with the ipod from
a business trip I plan to verify.
