AVStream.duration could be used to indicate the end of stream together
with the last pts of the last AVPacket
this of course has the problem of running out of AVStreams but that problem
exists anyway unless we reuse AVStreams and that would cause a lot of
problems if the codec changes ...

Its not that you shouldnt use gotos but rather that you should write
readable code and code with gotos often but not always is less readable
