Yes. Same problem also on Mac OS X.

Sadly, it isn't a default install. Lots of names:

* md5 on one of our old Solaris machines,
   and Mac OS X

* /opt/md5/md5-sparc or /opt/md5/md5-x86
   from Sun's optional package

* gmd5sum or md5sum
   if people install a GNU version
