I don't know what I was thinking. It's not the first time I send the 
same stupid patch =)

The problem is that stdin can't be open()'d (at least I wasn't able to).

The best for now IMO is just to revert that part back to #if 
defined(__MINGW32__) && defined(__CYGWIN__)
