Ouch, I should have noticed this earlier, but this breaks cross- 
compilation
on Debian stable, as Debian includes MinGW 3.9. But, as I do not  
think many
people are crosscompiling for win32 on Debian stable, I'll just add  
the reverse
patches to my local git-tree :)
