Excellent, Thanks. 

I had heard about SCO suing Novell, I did not know
about DrewTech v. SAE. I did not think about the SCO
suit as being on behalf of the open source community
so much, since it involved corporations, and SCO
trying to make some claim.

I'll read further to see if there is a case where a
collaborative group of developers like the ffmpeg
developers has taken some kind of action. I realize
"the open source community" involves corporations like
Sun, but in my naivete, I still think of it as being
groups like the ffmpeg developers.

I am particularly interested in that sort of
circumstance, as it has that "grass-roots" quality,
and because independent collaborative developers are
less likely to have an expensive legal staff, like
IBM.

In any case, however, I do not think that such a group
has any less legal right to what they create as would
IBM, SCO, or Novell.
