yes in iceweasel, no in dillo, but thats dillos fault i guess or mine
for trying to use a not as badly bloated browser ...
ive written this mail before checking how gitweb looks in iceweasel
ive checked it in iceweasel before sending  the mail to the git ml though

it does but its somewhat inconvenient IMHO

i know but i dont remember ~10000 sha1 values, the svn revission gives you a
hint of when something happened and in addition viewvc shows the author ...

neither do i, what i expect is that a web interface contains enough 
information so that it can be used and as its using "blob" "commitdiff"
and so on their meaning should be exlpained

i expect that a ffmpeg _user_ can browse the source through gitweb without
having to read the full git documentation ...

also viewvc contains a very nice "ViewVC Help" link on the bottom right
corner
