this reminds me, we have a few network related patches laying around
on the list contributed by ronald bultje which fix various issues
and which need a proper review from someone who knows all the unix network
stuff
i think you qualify here, and as you apparently have plenty of time to
flame, why not do something more productive and review the patches
they sent us :)
