This breaks udp.c, rtp.c, rtsp.c and maybe others. It should probably fix
those also or not be applied. If you're saying "doesn't work anymore", I'm
not sure what you mean, because this behaviour has always been like this
(?). What do you need it for? (Note that there's no [1] footnote in your
email :-) ).
