[FFmpeg-devel] [REQUEST] Use libnemesi as RTSP stream client in FFmpeg

FYI; libnemesi has now been implemented into MPlayer SVN for native
RTSP/RTP support. Patch by MPlayer developer "Luca Barbato" <lu_zero
at gentoo.org>, designed to be used in MPlayer instead of the live555
library.

This currently means that these native features has been added to MPlayer:
- Supports H.264 and MP3 quite well
- AAC will appear by the same time, more or less
- HD streams are working way better than live555

In progress (not yet in MPlayer SVN):
- Finish the Vorbis and Theora support
- The library is getting extensively documented and cleaned, see:

I never said I was a programmer myself, in fact I began my first
initial mail by stating that I am not a developer and this was only a
request/suggestion. I know you do not accept support questions in the
this ffmpeg-devel mailing-list, however I was not asking for support.
I am only suggesting that someone could add this additional LGPL
library code to FFmpeg to add additional function, and I believed that
a feature request like that should be address to this developers list
instead of the users list, please excuse me if I was wrong.

I still think that libnemesi would be a good addition to FFmpeg,
adding the ability to natively recieve RTSP/RTP input streams. Again,
libnemesi is LGPL and you do not have to integrate the whole library,
you could instead choose to only pick out the 'good parts' of the code
for direct implementation.

Best regards / Andreas (a.k.a. Gamester17)
