Well, SunStudio, LLVM and ICC support visibility the gcc way, I need to 
check with xlc (if someone could please do), the other, sadly 
widespread, compiler around uses its separate way.

Still for this particular case I'd say that probably the current 
compilers supporting asm() are the same supporting the visibility 
attribute the gcc way.
