Thanks for taking care of it... This is what I hoped when I put the patch
on roundup ;-)

Just two small comments:
1) My original patch contained some contributions by Benoit Fouet, but I
    forgot to add his name in the header. This is totally my fault, and I
    would feel better if Benoit is mentioned in the header.
2) I think the sample format selection can try all the possible formats
    (first, the user preferred one, and then the others) before failing,
    as we do in the v4l2 driver for selecting the pixel format. Just an
    idea...
