Although I completely agree this should be reported upstream (but I can not
do it myself, because It Works For Me(tm)), I am not very confident about
the outcome when it comes to depending on it in ffmpeg. First, I have found
that ALSA was not a very reactive project. And second, I fear this is
probably a driver-side bug, which means it can not be tested at build-time.

I am pondering the best way to implement a robust generic timestamp filter
that will allow to just use av_gettime.
