If that means his reply to my mail which pointed out the bugs he didn't
say anything about the duration of his trip.

After fixing the two issues I mentioned it's not slower any more. I
already posted a fix for the second one. For the first I didn't bother
investigating what the code was supposed to do and just disabled the
broken align; I'm not sure what that leaves broken, but for my use it
has worked without any issues (performance or other).
