I'd like to first have a setup that allows creating a git-svn repository
without needing to read every existing revision over the svn protocol
(causes unnecessary bandwidth use and load on mphq, takes a while even
over a fast connection). The method based on cloning an existing git-svn
repository over the git protocol that is described on the git-svn
manpage does not work with the currently clonable repository on mphq.
Either someone needs to find a method to create working local git-svn
repos based on the existing mphq repo, or a new repository has to be
created on mphq (I think the reason the basic recipe doesn't work with
the current mphq repo is that it uses local file:// URLs as SVN
repository addresses).
