Well, I'd like TeX versioning system then.
Just imagine:
FFmpeg 0.7
FFmpeg 0.70
FFmpeg 0.707
FFmpeg 0.7071
...
FFmpeg 0.70710678

(If you are not Michael you may guess a bit what constant is that ;)
