The code for this stuff is there (in MPlayer), the code for most is simple (probably
simpler than figuring out a good way to use showfoto).
In addition video processing has more needs: speed, direct-rendering (i.e.
in-place and out of place rendering, slice rendering, direct support for
both YUV and RGB...
