The licensing terms covering parts of the FAAC code are really vague (talking 
about stuff like how "users" (end users? developers? who knows) of 
"MPEG-2NBC/MPEG-4 Audio standards" are granted "free license" to use the 
software or modifications of it (but are warned that it may infringe patents), 
but only if your software or hardware "claims conformance" to the standards, 
otherwise you fall under the "Copyright is not released for non MPEG-2 
NBC/MPEG-4 Audio conforming products" clause, with no further specification of 
what conformance means in this context or how you are supposed to claim it). You 
might want to consult a lawyer to find out how or if those terms apply in your 
jurisdiction. Even so, in jurisdictions that recognize software patents it is at 
very least a patent infringement to distribute it, but you probably knew that
