[FFmpeg-devel] Call for Google Summer of Code applicants

Hello,

There has been an e-mail sent to the Google Summer of Code mentors 
mailing list stating that they wish organisations to request that 
students who want to apply for tasks, apply *now*, even if your proposal 
is still being refined. I think you can edit your application even after 
submission, up to the deadline.

They wish to obtain a better idea of the number of applicants to decide 
whether they need to extend the application deadline. Their current 
stance is that they won't.
