Hi,

I am going to implement as end of course project one streaming system
that uses the SVC codification defined in H.264 standard. I searched
existing encoders/decoders and the best choice for my project is use
FFmpeg. I found an experimental patch sent to the mailing list in may
2009, but I believe it wasn't accepted because it mixes functional and
cosmetic changes, so I think FFmpeg currently doesn't support SVC, am I
right?

My idea is implement SVC support in FFmpeg. My project is free software
(released under the terms of the GNU LGPL, like FFmpeg), so maybe you
are interested in merge the changes with the official FFmpeg version. Is
someone else interested in add SVC support to FFmpeg? Do you have some
hints about implement it?

Cheers,

Mateo Matachana Lopez
