Excellent idea. I'm sure if I go there right now, they will drop everything and put a patch in. Afterall if they haven't done it in 6 months...
I'd just link to get something working and stay out of the politics...

Maybe you could badger the SDL maintainers into getting their act
together. ?OS 3.0 has been out for a long time now.
