[FFmpeg-devel] DNxHD in MOV transcoding problem

Hi,

i found a minor problem when transcoding HDV files to DNxHD with the
resulting Quicktime movie. the problem is that for some reason some of
the resulting files are 1-2 frames longer then they should be resulting
in 1-2 white frames at the end of the clip. such a "over-length" clip
then fails to import to AVID. The workaround is to open the clip in
Quicktime Pro, cut the white frames off, save the clip and do the import.

This only happened to me when transcoding HDV 1080i60 to DNxHD 1080p25
(params: -vcodec dnxhd -b 36Mb -r 25 -deinterlace -acodec pcm_s16be -s
hd1080) and only some files have been affected. I can supply the source
files for investigation.
