That has pretty much been our M.O. for a decade now. :)

Again, when has that ever stopped us?

BTW, I'm with you-- I see this as little more than another nerdy little 
Google science project; another solution without a problem. But it 
wasn't too much trouble to hack together support (which was probably 
something that drove WebP in the first place).
