[FFmpeg-devel] [PATCH] version.sh: handle shallow clones and snapshots

The attached patch makes version.sh try a little harder to get relevant
information when dealing with shallow clones (--depth 1) and gitweb

As shallow clones and gitweb snapshot take much less bandwidth and time to
download than full clones, I believe this is useful.

Here are the results:
                   current             with this patch
full clone         N-31581-g8c2863b    N-31582-g4a65775
shallow clone      0.8.git             git-2011-07-21-g4a65775
gitweb snapshot    0.8.git             0.8.git-g4a65775

(IMHO, git-2011-07-21-g4a65775 is even better than N-31582-g4a65775, but
that is another story.)
