For what it's worth, 10 bit packed formats are native for DPX,
Uncompressed 10 bit YCbCr, SDI hardware and OpenGL pixel types
(GL_UNSIGNED_INT_10_10_10_2 and GL_UNSIGNED_INT_2_10_10_10_REV). It's
probably not a good idea to deprecate this.
