It seems I was quite tired when writing the above paragraph... Anyway, no
I don't think we actually "need" af_resample,... except for benchmarking
or comparing libraries: these filters (resample & aresample) are most
likely the bigger "user gateways" to libavr and libswr, especially when
the direct use of these API in the ff* and av* tools will be removed.
Anyway, speaking of the patch, LGTM.
