that branch contains 4 commits:

git log master..cigaes/master --oneline
7e6c67d lavfi/buffersink: fix header.
a514960 lavfi/buffersrc: disable deprecated warnings.
f29c28a lavfi/buffersrc: check channel count changes.
3cd3426 lavfi/buffersrc: set channel layout if it is known.

if i merge cigaes/master all 4 would be included.
Is that what you intended me to do ? (your mail only speaks about 1
commit)

Its not that you shouldnt use gotos but rather that you should write
readable code and code with gotos often but not always is less readable
