It would undo the shift done in the decoder because we 
(luckily!!) do not have PIX_FMT_RGB12 and PIX_FMT_GRAY12 
(and similar). I thought this was your goal, as said I 
am not claiming this patch is a good idea (it just 
fixes a regression).
