humm, any unrecognized calls in mplayer -v on linux?
maybe more stubs need to be implemented?
strace reveal anything? maybe it uses a dll on windows
that is not found on linux, like msvc90crt.

i guess i have demuxer=lavf in my config.

so mplayer -demuxer lavf g729stereo.wav
