[FFmpeg-devel] [DECISION] Server "move"

Hi FFmpeg developers

Currently we have a server at Hetzner for ~50 euro per month
and one hosted by kieran for 0 euro per month
we also have a sofar unused server hosted at telepoint.bg for 0 per
month. This last server has been bought for the sole purpose of
being used for FFmpeg as we asked for a new server and hosting and is
a quite powerul box. There also exists a real contract so IIUC this
server can not disappear from one day to the next easily.

The servers:
kieran: 4gb, 2xE5335 @ 2.00GHz (4+2 cores / 4+2 threads)
hetzner: 32gb, 1xE3-1246 v3 @ 3.50GHz (4 cores / 8 threads)
telepoint: 64gb, 2xE5-2630 v3 @ 2.40GHz (2x8 cores / 2x16threads)

This "decision" thingy, is intended to confirm that
* Stuff should be moved to the telepoint server, possibly duplicates
should be left at/moved to the hetzner server for redundancy, if
this is technically possible (maybe it should be called copy instead
  of move in that case)
* If instead of the hetzner server some other server is provided to
us free of charge, we may use that instead of the hetzner server if
it seems a better choice (currently we are still waiting for a reply
  from the second server/hosting donator)
* Seperation of services should be increased, for improved security
  and migration and backup possibilities
* The fine details are left to the developers doing the work, anything
potentially controversal should be discussed with all root admins
or if it merrits discussion with all developers on the
  ffmpeg-devel mailing list.

I belived there was consensus on above but one comment on IRC and
to root at ffmpeg asked for an agreement before moving anything. So this
is to double check that moving forward with this is ok

I suggest a deadline for making a decision on this of 10 days
starting now. (the actual work quite potentially will take alot
longer than 10 days depending on available volunteers)

work that does not change the active servers could of course happen
before the 10 day deadline

all technical suggestions and volunteers to help for the actual
work are welcome!

Thanks
