4.2 release made
4.2.1 will be made in a few weeks (sooner if theres something important)
please backport any relevant bugfixes
4.3 will be targeted in 5 month and will realistically occur around 6 month from now

Rewriting code that is poorly written but fully understood is good.
Rewriting code that one doesnt understand is a sign that one is less smart
then the original author, trying to rewrite it will not make it better.
