 You are right, it is approximately the same. Nevertheless, I am confused
 that the given input is approximated.

 The behavior also shows when using the git head version for both mkv
 packaging (using vcodec mpeg4) and webm.

 I also uploaded a sample to the Mplayer ftp: ffmpeg_ticket_1997.mp4
