#2430: AIFF decoding bug (zero length output file)
----------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Reporter: auphonic | Type: defect
Status: new | Priority: normal
Component: avformat | Version: git-master
Keywords: aiff | Blocked By:

----------------------------------+--------------------------------------
ffmpeg cannot read some AIFF input files:
- decoded output files have always size zero
- although ffmpeg/ffprobe shows the correct length of the input file
- in other programs (e.g. audacity) these files are decoded correctly
Tested with ffmpeg 1.1.3 and 1.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 - more details
below.
Use the following testfile, to reproduce the problem:
https://auphonic.com/media/share/testfile.aiff
How to reproduce:
{{{
ffmpeg -v 9 -loglevel 99 -i testfile.aiff output.wav
}}}
Output of ffmpeg:
{{{
ffmpeg -v 9 -loglevel 99 -i testfile.aiff output.wav
