You can use the following command line to produce video and audio:
$ ffmpeg -f lavfi -i testsrc -f lavfi -i "aevalsrc=sin(2*PI*t*440)"

Please post your patch to ffmpeg-devel (alternatively, you can open a new
ticket, but it makes more sense to fix it).
