Comment:

 This appeared to be RAM memory issue (out of memory). I was testing on a 1
 GB VM which produced this issue, but after raising the RAM limit to 16 GB
 the issue was gone. So, it seems it was the kernel killing the process
 rather than the ffmpeg build process failure.
