 I applied a fix for Cygwin default compilation as
 79dc94a63b30369e39792e81cb032f2cf40539b4, thank you for testing! I don't
 know why Cygwin dshow compilation fails (and imo, this should absolutely
 be fixed) but this likely has a lower priority;-(

 Concerning your original issue: Iiuc, your analysis indicates a problem
 that should not be fixed within FFmpeg but please contact Roger D. Pack if
 you need help with dshow within FFmpeg.
