 Yeah and I sadly will close your kodi report - because kodi works fine for
 me and my dev colleagues currently testing 3.1, so we cannot reproduce,
 which seems to point to something else the way deb-multimedia builds its
 packages.

 So for now your problem is a debian-multimedia repository issue, right?
