 I've compiled by following
 https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/CompilationGuide/Centos which uses the
 snapshot. I'll try the git.

 But as per https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#ass only ass has option
 to select the shaping engine. There is no such option for subtitle filter.
 I guess then it's ffmpeg which selects the shaping engine.
