No, I wrote that you need yadif if your input is interlaced.

What did Google tell you when your searched for "interlaced"?

Command line and complete, uncut console output missing.

I use the video4linux input often and it works fine, please note that the FFmpeg
version Ubuntu includes is intentionally broken, so it is not surprising that
there are reports it is buggy.
