I just tested mp=detc with both 32 and 64bit executables and 
both work fine here.

I am honestly willing to help you, if you are unable to provide 
a backtrace (see http://ffmpeg.org/bugreports.html for an 
explanation), please provide at least the crashing command 
line together with complete, uncut console output.

A sample may be needed as well.

As explained in ticket #681, I am testing the following command line:
$ ffmpeg -i telecined -vf mp=detc=am=0:dr=2:fr=0,setpts='N/(24000/1001*TB)'
-qscale 2 -r 24000/1001 out.avi
