Since you apparently do misunderstand:
FFmpeg git head always contains less bugs 
and more features than any release, so if 
you are not a distributor there is absolutely 
no reason to use a release (you should always 
use git head).
Please understand that additionally, the bug 
reports guidelines require you to test git head 
before reporting bugs:
