[FFmpeg-user] Optimal settings to stream mono audio signal for high quality and low latency

Hi,

   I'm experimenting to see if I could use ffmpeg and rtp streaming to an
iPhone as an in-ear-monitor during my band's performance.  Sennheiser makes
an RF unit for $1,000.  I'm hoping we can do this a bit cheaper.  I need to
stream a mono signal then receive it on the iPhone/Android and play it
back.  Can anybody suggest the optimal settings for this use case?
