Hi Carl,

By opening the sbs-srt file with the software "Subtitle Edit <http://www.videohelp.com/software/Subtitle-Edit>" and then saving it as "*.ass", I can reach my target now.

Under are the files FYI.
http://yun.baidu.com/s/1ntpaKK5#path=%252F3dsrt
tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.srt - original subrip file
tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.srt - (mean to be) SBS subrip file generated by some 2d-to-3d soft
tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.srt.jpg - output of "ffmpeg -vf ass=tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.srt" that's not my expect
tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.ass - ass file generated by "Subtitle Edit" from opening "tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.srt"
tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.ass.jpg - output of "ffmpeg -vf ass=tlf-trumanshow.bd.Eng.3d.ass" that's just my expect
(just to show the side-by-side subtitle, don't be bother whether the video itself is SBS or not.)

Thanks!
Jogh
